Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a specialized treatment that has proven to be highly effective for adolescents and adults who struggle with out-of-control behaviors such as self-harm, uncontrolled anger, drug and alcohol abuse, emotional over-reactivity, PTSD, depression, anxiety, stress, borderline personality disorder, and eating disorders.
DBT teaches individuals effective coping skills to bring these problem behaviors under control and build a more fulfilling life. Developed by Marsha Linehan, this treatment has been proven successful for individuals who have not benefited from other forms of therapy.
At the ADHD Mood & Behavior Center, our DBT program is led by experienced professionals who provide comprehensive care to help you overcome these difficult challenges. If you or a loved one is seeking support, contact us today to learn more about our DBT program and how we can help you take control of your life.
All of our Center’s DBT services are provided by experienced, certified DBT therapists. During therapy sessions, the therapist and client work together learning and improving basic social skills as well as managing emotional upsets. Healthy, appropriate behaviors are taught and reinforced in place of old inappropriate and destructive ones.
